"Dear
Hakan:
Just
a quick note to let you know how much we benefited from your
services. The guides and drivers you arranged for our group of 6
in Ephesus and Istanbul were outstanding and helped make our
trip special. They really knew their stuff.
We
especially enjoyed the day we got to spend with you and see the
other side/the non tourist side of Istanbul. Great insight into
the world of today!
Thanks
again for your assistance.
And
don’t forget, when you go back to Northwestern for a class
reunion, come and visit us in St. Louis."

Bosphorus:
Bosphorus
is the strait between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara; 32km (20
miles) long, 650-3300m (720-3600 yards) wide, 30-120m (100-395ft)
deep.
Bosphorus
comes from a Tracian word of unknown origin, interpreted in Greek as
meaning "Ford of the Cow", from the legend of Io, one of the many
lovers of Zeus, who swam across the sea here as a cow chased and
continuously disturbed by flies sent by Hera.
To
help you get acquainted with Istanbul before your arrival, we have
added detailed information along with great photographs of over 20
sights of this extraordinary city.

- Travel & Leisure
"Istanbul has been voted the third best city in Europe and the
seventh best city in the world by readers of the American travel
magazine Travel & Leisure.

put to readers rating the cities of the world for their appeal as a
visitor destination.
While Istanbul
is ranked on the third position of the European cities list, Rome
has placed on the first position. It is followed by Florence. The
ranking of European cities is:
1. Rome
2. Florence
3. Istanbul
4. Prague
5. Venice
6. Paris
7. Barcelona
8. Salzburg
9. Vienna

Four Seasons:
For the journalists and intellectual dissidents sentenced to a
prison term in this building, a period of incarceration was
something to brag about -- and it still is, albeit for different
reasons.
After
a long period of neglect, this Turkish neoclassical building located
in the heart of Sultanahmet was converted from a prison into a
five-star hotel, with much of the original marble and tile recycled
into its present-day, elegant design. The saffron exterior is a bit
severe, but the contrast within couldn't be greater.
Almost
all of the rooms have views of something fabulous
